"It’s good to be back in the preaching field” .. amazing weekend

Thats what my spiritual master HH Jayapataka Swami said as he addressed a crowd of 5000 devs in Pune this weekend.
This was a historic weekend.Prayers can work wonders and when a soul is dedicated to serving his spiritual master .. any wonders could work.
I remember a hindi line .. Krsna rakhe ,, mare ke (If Krsna saves .. who can hurt you).
HH Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaj , the greatest general of Lord Chaitanya's army is back on the battlefield .
Acharyapada shows by his achar(behaviour) how he has taken his spiritual master's words into his heart and body always comes secondary when preaching is primary.
My sincere prayers to Jagannath that Gurudeva continues getting better and better and better and is back to Mayapur soon.
Hopefully by Jagannath's mercy and Acharyapada's blessings , i will atleast serve 0.1% of what he serves..
Also had a wonderful weekend.. which i will describe in my next blog either today or tomorrow

Change is in the air

Change .. the buzz word for 2009..
Obama to take over tonight.. Lots of expectations from the people of US.. am following up it as well..
Some good things can be taken from him.. specifically together "we can.."
Each one of us has some anarthas, but together we can over come those and serve better . together we can make this place a better place to leave.. Cooperating with each other we can make this place a better place by spreading Kc.. by making Mahaprabhu's statement come true "Prithivite Achi yate nagaradi grama .. Sarvatra prachara hoibe mora naama'

Gaura Vani and as kindered spirits are performing at a stone's throw from the place in Washington today. They are chanting for change.. that seems to be a good and noble way to usher in a bright change..

You-not-fit-for-anything/Iam-better mentality

Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy bases itself on the rudimentary proposition that one needs to be the servant of the servant of the servants (das anu-das anu-das). the Vaishnava saints have written truck loads of poems expressing their humility.. Narottama Das specially exemplary . even Srila Prabhupada's Vrndavan Bhajan also of the same genre. But how difficult it is for us to follow this.. We donot leave any stone unturned in showing that we are better. giving comments on why the other person is not as much KC as me ( as if you are the most Krishna Conscious entity in the entire universe). This is what i have coined as You- not-fit-for-anything or I am-better mentality.
Introspecting on the same and relating to Vaishnava teachings gives a simple resolution , the I am and you to be interchanged.
you got it ..
You-not-fit-for-anything/I am-Better
to be replaced with
I am-not-fit-for-anything/You better

so much difference one word makes.
My daily prayer now a days after every prem dhvani or the night prayers to contain this..
Gurudev.. kripa bindu diya koro ei dase trnapekha ati hina..
Sakale sahane, bolo diya koro , nija mane spriha hina
sakale sammana korite sakati . deho natha jatha jatha
tabe to gaibe hari naama sukhe. aparadha habe hatha..

Hopefully one day i will be able to take holy name properly by following the reverse of the heading of the blog.. :)
(gurudeva .. please
Sakale sammana karite sakati..

Indecisiveness...

Today morning was the day when i was so indecisive..There are certain days when you really are not able to decide.. Lots of factors contribute for indecisiveness. Today i plan to do some soul searching and web searching for a proper reason for this indecisiveness.. will post the result by end of day.
It feels so good to listen to some kirtan and be swayed by it.. its thursday and org. related works are pending. Yesterdays Sankranti was good with some "marjanam" done.. cleaned up the home and this weekend and next week will go in cleaning up the place for the next weekend function.
got to start my work for the day.
Read a good article from krishna .com by Bhaktisiddhanta thakur.. (Article headed as Every wave is favourable)

My affection-incarnate,
I have this morning come to Sri Gaudiya Matha from Puri. Immediately on arrival at the station I heard that by the will of God your son has gone away from us. You knew him as your son; he is a servant of Krishna. He came into the household of a Vaishnava, and you served him in the office of the parents of a Vaishnava, he has gone away after accepting that amount of service which he was in need. Your son indeed got his body from you, but he is a soul — a Vaishnava. His eternal duty is service of God.
A Vaishnava comes into this world on the pretext of individual need and remains in material space for the allotted period of such mission and thereafter proceeds where-so-ever Baladeva sends him according to his fitness. You know Maha Laksmi (Sat-Energy) dwells in the heart of Baladeva, and Krishna with His Ecstatic Energy dwells in Maha Laksmi; therefore, your son has gone away in order to serve the object of his worship. As he happens to be a soul — a Vaishnava emanating from Lord Nityananda, the Incarnation of the Power of Being, if you learn to look upon Nityananda as son, you will no longer experience any want. Nityananda Himself has been present as the Knower of the heart of your son; you have served Him; continue to serve Him still.
The mass of matter of which the body of your son was composed in elemental space, has dissolved into five elements. But the Soul of your son remains employed in the constant service of God and His Energy. Your son, as an object of selfish enjoyment has been disassociated from the company of his father as a similar object of selfish enjoyment. He is an object of enjoyment of God, and therefore, his duty as a Vaishnava is to remain the object of God’s enjoyment, that is, God’s servant.
God knows that you are not enthralled in the bondage of Maya (Illusory Energy). He will not, therefore, overwhelm you in misery, aiding you with the Power of His Infinite Mercy. Please, recall to memory the Story of Srivas and His son. Peruse ‘Shokashatan’ of Thakur Bhaktivinode and Sri Chaitanya Bhagavat of Thakur Vrindavana dasa. At the time when Mahaprabhu accepted Sannyasa, He said to His aged mother, His wife Vishnupriya devi, and to the inhabitants of Navadvip: “I am only a being, variously connected with you. After my departure, establish in my place all these relationships with Krishna and afford me the opportunity of freely serving Krishna.”
In the absence of your son, you also will have more time for serving Godhead. What God does is for our good. What more can I say to console you?
With Eternal Blessings,
Sri Siddhanta Saraswati

If every wave is favourable, then there is no indecisiveness we just need to do one and then see how it works because if lord wants then anything can work .. right ?

first post of 2009

My first resolution this year was that i should blog everyday to give a direction to my thoughts.. but see the reality .. it is after 13 days that i am blogging.
Anyway better late than never..
From my last post to now.. lots have changed.. we have moved from old home to new home ( i donot like to call it ashram.. prefer the loving cuddly home).. the new one is more spacious.. will post the photos of both the sides.
want to blog so many things but donot have sufficient time now.. need to rush for the cab.. life is all about rushing out here but the best part is when inspite of all of this you can still do something of everything.. (what a paradox.. something of everything)..
donot have much time to type so will paste a story by mother Teresa . am quite impressed and has given my grey cells something to ponder about..
One night a man came to our house and told me, “There is a family with eight children. They have not eaten for days.”

I took some food with me and went. When I came to that family I saw the faces those little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the rice to the mother. She divided it in two, and went out, carrying half the rice. When she came back, I asked her, “Where did you go?” She gave me this simple answer, “To my neighbors; they are hungry also.” I was not surprised that she gave – poor people are really very generous. I was surprised she knew they were hungry. As a rule when we are suffering, we are so focused on ourselves, we have no time for others.

So true.. all of us suffering.. but we are so focussed on ourselves and donot have time for others.. Srila Prabhupada ki jay.. Srila Acharyapada ki jay .. they have focussed on more taking time for others.. My Gurudev still inspite of his illness takes tiem to enquire about the welfare of others.
